European Treasure Chests
The European Treasure Chests provide an opportunity for Primary and Secondary Schools to organise European Events such as Europe Days. They have been developed by education specialists to help children find new and fun ways of learning about Europe.
The Treasure Chests contain a wide range of books on European topics and the countries of Europe as well as classroom guides. There are also games, activities, flags and CD Roms for the students to use.
For teachers there are training videos, a Treasure Chest Guide, which includes ideas on useful activities, and a record Book of Euro Activities which shows teachers how previous schools have used the chest.
The two types of European Treasure Chest are available for loan periods from the North West European Resource Centre:
