European Information

The North West European Resource Centre holds a large collection of European information. This ranges from free publications and teaching resources, to reference publications and materials about Europe, the countries of the EU and applicant countries.

The European Commission, European Parliament and Council of Europe produce a number of booklets and information leaflets which are held in the centre. Visitors are welcome to take away copies of the free publications and the NWERC staff will be happy to order multiple copies of these publications for teachers.

Euroquest	Activity Book aimed at Key Stage 2 containing a trail of questions and answers about the European Union.

The European Convention on Human Rights	This publication offers a starting points for teachers to make use of the oppertunities to include human rights in lesson plans across the curriculum.

Europe is more than you think	This educational pack provides teachers with basic information about the Council of Europe and its work in the fields of democratic citizenship, human rights education, history teaching, modern language learning, cultural diversity and tolerance.

Europe Passport	The Euro: The European Union in your hand - introduction to the use of the Euro in Europe.

44 States and one Organisation...the Council of Europe	Information about the Council of Europe aimed at young people.

The Council of Europe with Sue and Max	The Council of Europe with Sue and Max is a booklet aimed at 6 to 10 year-olds. It offers a fun approach to the Council of Europe's activities.
